As of late she is working towards earning her Bachelors of Education. Well versed in getting youth involved in recreational activities, she has acquired valuable experience in child management and team work. She has worked alongside educators and social workers from such establishments as Pathways to Education and the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent. By making herself available to these facilities she took part in various educational and creative activities with children/youth from multicultural backgrounds, at risk neighborhoods, and those with varying mental/physical conditions. She understands the specific needs of youth and how to promote their overall achievements/strengths.
Katrina has four years of proof reading and creative essay writing structure behind her; she has mentored/tutored youth on how to express their thoughts into words in English, Social Science and History. By putting an emphasis on the elements of style in writing she wants to foster memorable rules and include interesting examples for her students. Thus, giving them a better clarity of the language.
As an artist committed to the idea of contemporary art being accessible to the public she wants to foster her students interest in the fine arts by expanding upon their artistic knowledge base, improving upon their existing talent, and giving variety to their portfolios.
